Types of Face Masks
There are so many different options when it comes to choosing a face mask for your particular skin! There are face masks for anti-aging, brightening, hydration, collagen production, and yes, acne!
Homemade Face Masks for Acne
Face masks target acne in a way that no other skin care can, because they really get down deep into your pores, and since they stay on so long, the ingredients have time to really treat the blemishes, as well as prevent future breakouts from appearing. My favorite homemade acne face mask contains honey and aspirin, because the aspirin treats the blemishes while the honey heals the skin and helps to reduce any redness. DIY Face Mask
Want to know how to make a face mask in your own kitchen?? This is my absolute favorite homemade face mask for acne and for adding that glow back into your skin! The best part? There are no added chemicals or harsh ingredients that can upset your delicate skin or harm your health! The many health benefits of honey will not only keep your immune system boosted when ingested, but can also heal your skin and nourish your face!
HONEY FACE MASK!
It’s time for the main event! When your skin is looking a bit dull or tired, or if you are having problems with breakouts or blemishes appearing, a honey face mask can be your ticket to gorgeous skin that you’ll love showing off— no makeup needed! This step by step tutorial will teach you how to make and apply my favorite honey mask to keep your skin clear and glowing!
Honey Mask Ingredients:
Raw, organic honey (regular honey will work too, but organic and raw honey will contain more of those wonderful benefits!)
Organic cinnamon (same principles apply here, but organic is always preferable!! You want to avoid absorbing any nasty pesticides through your pores.)
That’s it! Pretty simple ingredients for your honey mask. :) Now it’s time to mix it together!
How to Make Your Honey Mask:
Heat up your honey in a small, microwave safe bowl for just a few seconds!! You don’t want to make it hot, but instead just warm enough to easily blend with the cinnamon.
Remove your bowl from the microwave, and add in a few shakes of organic cinnamon.
With a spoon or spatula, stir well until your two ingredients are thoroughly blended.
Tada, it’s ready! Time to apply your honey mask to your face!
How to Apply your Honey Mask!
Cleanse and dry your face.
With clean fingers, gently begin smearing the honey mask onto your skin. It should look like melted chocolate on your face!
Apply it until your face is completely covered, including forehead and jawline. Go over areas with extra care that have any blemishes, or are typically prone to breakouts.
Leave it on for about 10 minutes!
Before you rinse it away, wet your clean fingers, and massage it into the skin if small circles. The cinnamon gives it a nice, gentle exfoliating texture, and can help to remove dead skin cells and brighten complexion!
Rinse your honey mask off with warm water, then pat dry.
Enjoy your beautiful, refreshed skin!!
Yay, honey mask success! Your skin will thank you for the treatment, and you will notice a brighter, clearer complexion. You will absorb all of the benefits of honey in through your pores, and the antioxidants will make your skin glow like never before!
Honey contains anti-inflammatory properties, so if you have any redness, the honey mask will help reduce the red pigment and any swelling. The antioxidants found in honey will nourish the skin and help get rid of free-radicals. The antibacterial and antimicrobial properties found in honey will help to kill the bacteria that causes blemishes and prevent future breakouts, and the healing properties will help to heal existing acne flareups. Altogether, the honey mask will create smooth, soft, radiant, and clear skin!! What could possibly be better??
I hope this tutorial has been helpful for you guys, and I hope you are able to try out this wonderful honey mask for achieving your clearest skin ever, naturally!!
