Essential Oils for Acne
Hey babes! I have to share with you my favorite essential oils for acne!! If you have never used essential oils as a part of your skin care routine, this magical, all natural essential oil can be the perfect place for you to get started! Incorporating essential oils into your skin care routine can be a great way to beautify your skin in a healthy, all natural, chemical free way.
Best Essential Oils for Face
Essential oils contain many different properties that benefit your skin and your health, and choosing the right essential oil and applying it in the correct way might just be the best thing you can do for your gorgeous, glowing skin! Using essential oils for acne instead of a spot treatment or other chemical-laden acne treatments can be a bit scary at first, because let's be honest, you don't want to take risks when it comes to the clarity of your complexion! This essential oil will have your skin looking flawless in no time. I use it to dry up existing breakouts, and prevent blemishes from appearing! I can't recommend it enough, because it not only reduces the appearance of my blemishes more quickly than acne treatments, but it also keeps my skin smoother and softer in general!
Best Natural Skin Care
Tea tree oil for acne is derived from the Australian a Melaleuca alternifolia plant, and has been used to treat acne for over 100 years. It's antiseptic properties have been shown to heal wounds, including those caused by severe acne. Since it has been found in studies to outdo benzoyl peroxide in the treatment of acne, it is on of the best home remedies for acne you can find. Since some people are allergic to tea tree oil, it is always the best idea to do a small patch test on your skin and wait 24 to 48 hours to be sure you tolerate it well. Better safe than sorry!
Best Oils for Face
First off, what are the vitamins that your skin craves? You need to be applying products that contain vitamin E, vitamin A, and vitamin C to replenish, smooth, brighten, and nourish, and restore balance in the skin! Using vitamin E oil on face tone variances, such as dark spots and acne scars, can help to naturally brighten these areas and reduce the appearance of an uneven skin tone. Find a good essential oil for face brightening by selecting one rich in vitamin E, like perhaps using coconut oil as a face moisturizer!
Vitamin A, or the purest form of retinol, works wonders for your skin’s current appearance, as well as maintaining the skin’s youthfulness as you age. If you want to reduce or prevent premature wrinkles, vitamin A is the vitamin for you! Using products and essential oils containing vitamin A can help promote collagen production within the skin, and can reduce redness and prevent breakouts. See why vitamin A is one of nature’s wonders??
Ahh, vitamin C! How can you apply this vitamin to your face, besides by squeezing an orange on your face?? ;) If you want an effective way to apply vitamin C, look for a natural vitamin C oil! Vitamin C brightens the skin, and creates a radiant glow that you will love. My skin has never looked more luminous since I have started using a daily vitamin C oil on my face!
Side note: be sure to use vitamin C and vitamin A separately, and never use vitamin A containing products or essential oils during the daytime! Vitamin A or retinol causes the skin to become more susceptible to the harmful UV rays of the sun, so use these oils only at night. Use vitamin C in the morning under your SPF-containing moisturizer, and you’ll be good to go!
Top Essential Oils for Face!
Evening Primrose Oil
Evening primrose oil works deep into all of the layers of your skin! Rich in essential fatty acids , this natural essential oil can fight severe problems such as psoriasis and eczema, as well as skin dryness and face wrinkles.
Tea Tree Oil
I absolutely love my organic tea tree oil for treating and preventing acne flare-ups and breakouts! I hate applying nasty chemicals and crazy, unpronounceable ingredients to my skin, and I do my best to avoid it when I can! Your skin is very absorbant, and whatever you apply directly onto your skin will be absorbed into your bloodstream. If you aren’t careful, you might apply chemical-filled products that can negatively impact your entire body’s health! Yikes! When treating blemishes, try to opt for natural, organic, nourishing res tree oil instead of harsh spot treatment products when you can. It can be a little scary to switch from your favorite acne treatments, but give tea tree oil a chance and see if you don’t love the switch! It can be a bit drying, so you may want to start by diluting it with water or with an oil that won’t clog your pores, like coconut oil for face acne.
Rosehip Oil
Rosehip oil is another one of my top 3 favorite oils!! It contains vitamin A, so apply it at night after applying your favorite serums, or in the place of a serum, but before moisturizing. Rosehip oil is also rich in fatty acids that will nourish the skin, and it is a great oil for treating dark spots, discoloration, and hyper-pigmentation! Personally, I have noticed softer, more even-toned skin, as well as a noticeable reduction in the appearance of any acne scars I get. I have also noticed less breakouts and more elasticity in my skin. Reshape oil covers your entire face with just a few drops, and it feels velvety and luxurious. Ahhh, it’s like going to an all-natural spa in your own home! :)
I hope you guys enjoyed this review of my top essential oils for face issues, and I hope you can try them out!

Emmy
