Rejection
Welcome to today’s edition of Helping you move forward in 77 seconds brought to you by FaithForwardCoaching.com
In the book of Exodus we are presented with the famous story of Moses and his encounter with God at the burning bush.
Fear of Rejection
When Moses was a young man he observers an Egyptian soldier oppressing a fellow Israelite. The next day Moses thought he would be admired for his action but instead is rejected by his peers and chased out of town by the Pharaoh and his men. Moses spends the next 40 years living in the wilderness completely cut off from his people and his life’s purpose because he can’t overcome his fear of rejection.
Too often debilitating fears keep us from achieving our purpose in life and we live life looking backwards rather than toward our future.
Overcome
So how did Moses overcome the fear of rejection and how can you overcome that fear in your life.
When God reminded Moses of his purpose and told him what He was going to do through his life, Moses feigned false humility said “who am I” but this was really Moses saying “Look God I have already been rejected by my people once and been rejected by the people that raised me. I am not going through that pain again.”
Pain of Rejection
Then God does something amazing that all of need when we are facing the pain of rejection.
God gives Moses and us Words of Assurance and he simple says, “I will be with you” What each of us needs to overcome the pain of rejection are kind, soft, gentle words that reminds us that we are never alone in our pain and that God is always walking with us to help us achieve our life purpose.
At Faith Forward Coaching, we are praying that today you hear God’s words of love and assurance so that you can move forward today.
