Admit it! You are a control freak just like me. I know that because we’re all control freaks. It’s not a matter of if but how much, who and what we try to control.
The joy we derive from control starts early in life when learn to control our arms, hands, fingers and eventually all the aspects of our bodies. That’s normal and natural. We also quickly learn we can control our parents and others with our cries and our screams.
As we grow older prudence should teach us that we can’t or at least shouldn’t try to control all the people and events in our lives.
But there are still many things we can control each and every day.
Perception, Attitude, Self-talk
Our Perception - We control how we see events and people. And each of those will tend to live up or down to how we perceive them.
Attitude - Yes, even when you are not feeling it you can control how you react and how you think about events people. You do things every day that go against how you are feeling because it is the right thing to do. And you can control your attitude even if the circumstances or people don’t meet your expectations.
Self-talk - You can control what you tell yourself. Everyday you can repeat the truths that God says and believes about you. That you are overcomer, a child of the king, you are loved beyond your wildest imagination and that you rank higher than all his other creations.
At Faith Forward Coaching we are praying that you can learn to control these things in your power that will help you move forward today.
