I like to use two different drinks as my pre workout of choice, but in this simple step by step tutorial, I will show you how to combine them into the most delicious, healthy, and effective pre workout beverage possible! Alright, so now you’ve seen the beverage that I personally use as my daily pre workout! Let’s break down what this pre workout is, when to have it, and what it is so very good for!
Here are the ingredients!!
100% organic, raw coconut water
Organic, cold-brew coffee
A sealable container, such as a bottle or thermos
Pre Workout Recipe!!
You can make this pre workout right at home, and stick it in your gym bag for energy on the go! This is the best pre workout for women, men, athletes, newbies, and anyone who wants to go hard in the gym and make gains the natural way!
How to Make:
Chill your coconut water and your cold-brew coffee in the refrigerator.
Open up your thermos, and set aside. Using an insulated thermos will allow your pre workout to stay nice and chilled in your gym bag until you’re ready to work out!
Fill your thermos at least half way with your coconut water. I like to use about 3/4 coconut water to ensure that I get all of the benefits, as well as not dehydrate myself with too much caffeine right before my sweat session!
Add in your cold-brew coffee, and fill it up to near the top.
Close your thermos tightly, and shake the mixture.
If you like, you may add in just a bit of honey to sweeten your drink and get a bit more natural sugar for quick energy, but be mindful of your goals on this one! If you are a high-performance athlete, you can probably get away with burning off a bit more sugar, but if you are working out for weight loss, you might not want those extra grams of sugar!
Enjoy your homemade, all natural pre workout!! I suggest drinking most of it about 15 minutes prior to your workout, and saving a little bit to sip on during your training session when you feel low on fuel. It’s gentle and natural enough that it should not hurt you to consume a small amount while you are exercising, and it can help prevent muscle cramps and dehydration, as well as fatigue or hunger!
