Within the last ten years, Berlin has seen the launch of roasting powerhouses like Bonanza, The Barn, and Five Elephant, labels now responsible for a massive majority of the third wave coffee being served and cupped in the city. And now that it seems like new and incredible shops are opening their doors all the time, remembering the days when a craft cup meant brewing it yourself seems wonderfully bygone. Sure we still keep a stock of beans at home, ever in pursuit of perfecting the art of the Aeropress – but at least now it’s not for lack of any other options. The glory days are undeniably upon us.
