What I have in my travel makeup bag changes often, I am always on the hunt for the latest and greatest when it comes to travel items. The thing is, I have found that I do have some great products that I use regularly but the thing I find myself reaching for the most is my favorite travel bag. You would think maybe Ulta or Sephora would have my favorite makeup bag, but it is actually Victoria's Secret that carries it. I received a makeup bag from this store as a gift almost 10 years ago, and friends it is still holding up! However as I have grown older my makeup selection I take with my has also grown, so for Christmas, I requested a new bag from the store. Friends, I kid you not, their bags are so sturdy and such an amazing size and they are pretty darn cute as well.
Finding out a great way to neatly organize your makeup when traveling can be pretty tricky, however, I have found a few tips that I really enjoy. The first of which is to pack up all my makeup I plan on taking the night before. Why? Becuase then in the morning I use that makeup I packed to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. It is a great and simple way of making sure I have packed all I need for the trip I will be embarking on. Another great tip is to use small containers that stores use to give you samples. I can't tell you how many little jars and containers I have from Sephora's samples that I just grab and fill up with my current favorite face wash or exfoliant. Lastly, use Sephora points before a trip. This is my very favorite. You know how you are earning lots of points at Sephora? Well before a trip I love to cash 'em in on a product (or set) to take with me on my travels. Typically they have great little facewashes, lipsticks, or a new set of makeup goodies. These are such a major space saver for me and I don't have to spend the extra money for the products.
When traveling remember that makeup brushes should be stored properly before embarking on your epic adventure. You don't want your dirty shoes coming in contact with the brush you use every day on your face. If you don't have a brush roll, use an extra makeup bag to keep them from the excess germs.
I hope you found how I pack up my travel makeup bag to be helpful and thank you so much for watching my video. I hope you enjoyed it and I look forward to seeing you in my next video!
