I have been using a hair straightener for over a decade now and I've got to admit, I use it just about daily. Sure, there may be a few weeks during the year that I give my hair a break, but for the most part, I am a big fan of the sleek, straight look.
Red Hair
Naturally having red hair, I have very frizzy hair (think Merida, the princess from the Disney movie Brave) however, my hair isn't super curly. At the beginning of the video you can kind of see how my hair looks when I work really hard to keep it from being a big frizzy mess but still not doing too much to it. I wanted to be able to really test out the brush without using a hair dryer to help out first, even though that is normally what I do before straightening my hair.
Hair Products
When using a straightener, or any hair styling product that uses heat, be sure to use a heat protectant with it. My favorite one and the one I use pre-video was the It's a 10! product. And this product really is a ten. It does everything and more that you could want from a product. According to the company's website, the product does the following ten things for your hair: "Repairs dry and damaged hair, Adds shine, Detangles, Controls frizz, Seals & protects hair color, Prevents split ends, Stops hair breakage, Creates silkiness, Enhances natural body, Flat iron spray & thermal protection". Now some of these I wouldn't necessarily agree with, but it keeps my hair safe from a straightener and a hair dryer.
When it comes to your hairstyle, I think most of us want to be able to have a fast and efficient way of getting ready in the morning. Now, after having filmed this video, I noticed I went for the normal straightener instead of the brush, I do believe that even though, the straightening brush is far faster that the actual iron, the iron works better at keeping hair straight throughout the day and keeping my hair from getting too frizzy.
All that to say, for the sale price I think the brush is alright, however, I have to admit the brush just doesn't beat the standard straightening iron. I hope you found this video helpful and I thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video.
