They're Real Big Sexy Lip Kit as well as a Big Sexy Eye Kit, but more on that one next week! For this week's video, I did a review/first impression of the lip kit. So if you want to know more about it, keep reading/ watching.
Alright, so I purchased my
Big Sexy Lip Kit from Macy's, for $29.00, the kit includes 4
lipsticks and lip liners in one each .75 grams. It's a bit difficult to explain that, watching the video makes way more sense. The four colors it comes with are Flame Game, which is an orange color, Pink Thrills, which is a bright pink color, Revved-Up Red, which is actually more of a pink color than a red, and lastly (my personal favorite) Lusty Rose, which is a muted pink.
Being a redhead, I try my very best to avoid the color orange, since I just don't like the way it looks on myself, so Flame Game was my least favorite shade that I will probably be giving away. However all the other colors are very pretty, and to be fair Flame Game is a very pretty color too, I just don't like the way it looks on me. So as I mentioned above, Revved-Up Red is pinker than it is red, which I found rather disappointing. The color is still a beautiful color so I can't really complain too much about it.
All in all, the colors are all very beautiful and feel very nice on the lips, they are hydrating and light and the staying power on these lipsticks was incredibly impressive. I was not expecting them to last as long as they did. In the video I go through and try on each color for you to see how they appear, then I re-apply Lusty Rose to wear throughout the day. I re-applied it one time and it lasted all day. Admittedly it does fade a bit, but it still leaves behind enough color so your lips don't look forgotten about.
At the end of the day I give this lip kit a thumbs up, the colors are beautiful and I have all really great things to say, except one big downside. The only way to get one of the colors is to get all of the colors. Lusty Rose, I would repurchase in a heartbeat, but to have to go and spend $29 for one lip color is a little ridiculous. So
Benefit, please consider selling these separately so I can get another one of the Lusty Rose colors when it runs out. Please.
