Benefit Cosmetics has had their They're Real line of mascaras out for a while now, however just recently they released two new products within this line, the They're Real Big Sexy Lip Kit and the They're Real Big Sexy Eye Kit.  Last week I reviewed the lip kit, if you would like to see the review of that, just click HERE.
This video is all about the They're Real Big Sexy Eye Kit, I share with you all my thoughts and opinions on the product. I start off sharing that the product packaging is very cute, but that is no surprise since Benefit Cosmetics always does a great job of this. Now onto the actual product itself, it comes with three different eyeshadows, each of these being a two-in-one type of deal as well as a blending application tool.
The eyeshadows themselves are all pretty colors, but they are very shimmery, so if you are not a fan of shimmery eyeshadow, you will not like these shadows. The pigmentation of these shadows also leaves something to be desired. Onto the application tool, this was the worst part of the whole thing. I just don't understand how this makes sense, the handle for it is just too small to really get a good grip of, the sponge part itself just feels so cheap, and there is just no way to wash it to reuse. So I could see it maybe working for up to 4 applications but after that, it would be useless. The eyeshadows were also very softly packed and caused a lot of fall out. Ultimately I wanted this product to work but for the steep price of $36.00, I just have to say save your money and get the mascara and Lip Kit instead!
Giving negative feedback about a product is never a fun thing to do, but I do feel like it is important, to be honest about if a product works for me or not. Now, this isn't to say that it's a terrible product, I just didn't feel it measured up to what I look for in an eyeshadow.
