I absolutely love trying new beauty products. New makeup, new skincare, new hair products, each one with the hope of being a new favorite. However, sometimes you end up with a product that isn't so great. That is exactly what today's video is all about, I decided to share with you
10 Disappointing Beauty Products.
The first category I go through is makeup, I start off with two mattifying primers,
Benefit's Porefessional Matte Rescue and
Becca Cosmetics Ever-Matte Primer. Afterward, I discuss two foundations, one is the
Bare Minerals Matte Foundations the other is the
Lorac Perfector Foundation, neither of these products worked well for my sensitive and oily skin type. All four of these products either caused breakouts or failed at keeping me shine-free throughout the day.
I talk about
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye concealer next, this product is just too thick to use under my eyes, the coloring choice is nice but I actually much prefer it to help cover acne rather than my undereye dark circles.
Magnetic Mascara is the next product I mention, but I made a whole video about that, if you want to know more, feel free to check it out.
Moving on to skincare!
Keihl's is such a great skincare brand, however, the Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion is just such a mediocre product. I didn't feel like it actually helped keep oil at bay like it claimed and it was just not as moisturizing as I would have hoped. The next was
Murad Acne Spot Treatment, this was disappointing all around, I just felt like it did absolutely nothing for my skin. The final skincare product I talk about is
Dermadoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Sunscreen, this was probably the most disappointing of all the products, this said it would help mattify and help to clear skin. It did neither of these claims. It was such a disappointment.
The final product was by
Bumble and Bumble, their Does It All spray. I felt like this spray just did nothing. It is just a super expensive hairspray that really doesn't work as well as a drugstore counterpart. Sure, the hair doesn't become crunchy, but it also doesn't really stay put. Ultimately just not worth the money.
Those are the products I chose to share with you that just didn't work for me. Remember everyone has skin and hair that will respond differently to products so even though a product didn't work for me, it still may work for you! However, if you have skin or hair similar to my own, probably best to avoid these!
Thank you so much for watching the video and reading what I had to say about it. I will see you all in my next video.
