In this Covid-crazy time in our world, I want you to know that you are appreciated. Kids ministry was hard in pre-Covid times, but it’s harder now. I know.
This is a time of thankfulness. I want to thank you for your hard work. Thank you for changing the entire delivery of your ministry on a moment’s notice. Thank you for the risks you have taken, and are taking now to love an serve your kid’s ministry.
The second largest congregation in your church is your kids ministry. The need for your ministry never shut down. If anything, your ministry is needed now, more than ever.
It’s hard. It sometimes seems that we’re invisible to our kids and parents. Please know this: You are known to God, and you are known to us. When we all get to heaven, there will be a line of people waiting to tell you “thanks” who were kids from this time, that you reached in what seems now to be small ways.
Be encouraged. Your work has eternal purpose and consequences. Your reward is coming. You are not alone. As Moses told Joshua in Deuteronomy 31:8, “The Lord is indeed going before you - he will be with you; he will not fail you or abandon you. Do not be afraid or discouraged!”
Serve in His power. Nothing you do for His glory is in vain. He is not surprised by these events. He appointed you for this time, and he will equip and strengthen you.
