What are you favorite Christmas Carols to sing on that wonderful day and throughout the month of December. Some carols are designed to be sung after we celebrate the birth of our Savior. Others are in anticipation of that celebration.
Of course you are singing carols in December in your kids ministry. Maybe you are even performing in Big Church the second weekend in December. Maybe it’s a special event during the week for the extended family to enjoy seeing their special child sing in the choir. Perhaps it is the Christmas Pageant or Play where the children re-enact the Christmas Story.
Perhaps you have a full band of volunteers to perform the music live for you at your gathering. Perhaps you do not. Maybe you need the recording only for the rehearsals. Perhaps you would prefer the recordings for the actual performance. Have you used a split track recording with your kids ministry? They can learn the song with the vocals turned up, then perform with the vocals turned off.
It might even be good to add a few well crafted new tunes for your children to sing. Since the words appear on the screen in a very timely fashion, and the tunes are easy to sing, your children will be singing from the first viewing of each new video.
Perhaps this is the most used song in the Manger Scene during the Christmas Play. We think it is a great song to introduce to your children. Our God was a child just as they are children. He started in a manger.
