Immigration To Israel Of An Elderly Parent Of An Israeli Citizen

My name is Michael Decker and I am a lawyer with in the law offices of Cohen Decker Pex and Brosh. Our office specialises in immigration to Israel and in arranging status in Israel for unique and extra ordinary situations. Today I wanted to explain the policy regarding an elderly and lone parent of an Israeli citizen. According to the policy, an elderly parent is a man of the age of sixty-four or woman above the age of sixty two. An elderly parent is defined according to this policy as someone who doesn't have a spouse or children in the country they're from, outside of Israel. If the parent of the child who is an Israeli citizen meet all the above criteria they can submit an application. In that location, they will need to present a birth certificate in order to prove the biological connection, a police background checks in order to prove that there is no criminal record for the relevant parents and a proof that the relevant parent has no Spouse or children abroad. If this application is approved then the parent will receive a B1 working visa for a certain period of time depending on the age of the parent. After this period of time the parent will receive an A-5 temporary residence visa again depending on the age of the parent as stipulated in the relevant policy and after a period of time on an A-5 temporary resident visa, the parent can apply for permanent residency as well. It should also be noted that if the parent does not meet all the conditions, meaning that if this parent does the additional children abroad, however, the child abroad can not care for the needs of the elderly parent or this child lives away from the parents it's still possible to submit an application and to request that the application will be referred to a special extraordinary humanitarian committee who deals with such cases and our office successfully status for parents even when they did not meet all the conditions of this policy. If you're in such a situation you can feel free to contact our office and we will be happy to guide you through this process. thank you very much for your time.
