The Repurpose function on Incline is a unique and powerful function, and you must learn to use it to make the most out of your Incline channel.
Repurposing is how you will be able to leverage the power of one video across many keywords, thereby building an extremely powerful ranking scenario.
When you start with an especially good keyword title (we call them “money words”), it’s a good strategy to then follow up that post with 5 more supporting posts, which is a great place to utilize the Repurpose function.
How to Repurpose
The process is simple:
After your video upload is complete, from the Edit Videos page, click on that video you want to repurpose
On the resulting Edit page, you’ll see several tabs across the top of your content; and the 4th one is called Repurpose
When you click that tab, you’ll notice that all your content just disappeared! But never fear - it didn’t go away. You essentially just now made a copy of the original video.
Now (after doing your keyword research beforehand), give your new repurposed video a new title; then write brand new content that still applies to that video, and give it a new list of fresh keywords and hashtags at the bottom, and hit the blue button.
You’re done! You just used the same video to help you rank for another list of keywords, without having to produce a new video. No other platform offers this repurpose function - only Incline.
Here are a few questions you might have:
Q: What should I make my new title?
A: Use a smaller keyword in the same research that you didn’t use as the first title. A great idea is to use one of the sub-headings from your first post - which should also be one of your keywords from that post too. Q: What should I use for the keywords and hashtags? A: You can use some of the same ones from the first post, especially the bigger ones - as well as the title from your first post. That should actually be the first keyword and hashtag in the list - your title from the first post. Because that’s the real big “money word” that you’re supporting with this series of repurposes. Q: Should I just use the same title as the first post? A: NO! Never post 2 articles or posts with the same title. Q: What if there were not all that many good keywords related to this video that I could find using the keyword research tool? A: Then use Google’s suggested searches (they show up at the bottom of the page when you search something in blue). Those are real searches that Google thinks are relevant to your search. Or, just use your brain! Dip into your knowledge of your subject, common sense, and what you think people might be searching. You’ll probably do pretty good with that. Remember, 80% of all searches have never been searched before, so chances are that you’ll be fairly good at guessing what people might be searching for in your space. 1. What is Incline? 2.
