Here’s a quick little guide to changing your thumbnail on Incline:
1. Before you even start, make a thumbnail you like. Here’s a process I use to do that on my Mac:
•pause my original video file on the frame I want to use •command-shift-4 gives you a little target cursor - drag-enclose over the paused video frame takes a screenshot •add any text or other stuff in Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. •OPTIONAL - import it into the Photos app on your map, hit EDIT and CROP, and choose 16x9 cropping, then drag back onto your desktop •there’s your thumbnail pic, in the right format!
2. On the Edit Video page, click on the video you want to add the thumbnail to
3. In the Keyword blank, type a good name for your thumbnail (as in, use a good keyword - maybe the title of your post again)
4. Click on Choose File, and navigate to your new thumbnail, double click it
5. Click Change Thumbnail
6. You’re done!
Thumbnails can be important as attention-grabbers and first impressions, so make sure you don’t ignore them.
