This Kansas City company has taken our pedalboards by storm. From their famous low gain Morning Glory to the quirky Color Box, JHS has something for everybody.  Read on to find the pedal that fits you best.

Morning Glory

This bluesbreaker inspired, low gain pedal is responsible for generating the buzz that put JHS Pedals on the map. It is a truly transparent overdrive that has become a foundation for thousands of players tone. This pedal is perfect to add some presence to your tone and gives the grit you need to cut through the mix without getting super mid-rangy. This is a nice change of pace from the typical tubescreamer sound and gives players more tonal options. This versatile drive is perfect for a first or second stage drive.

Pulp n' Peel

There is a never ending debate on What is the Best Compressor Pedal, and this pedal is always referenced as one of the top options. We have seen this pedal change over the past few years as JHS as continued to improve on an already great design. The current version of the pedal, V4, offers four different controls. Players will be able to effect: Volume, Comp, EQ, and Blend. A unique feature on this pedal is the dirt toggle. This switch allows players to mix a little bit of overdrive into the compressed signal. This extra texture can give your tone the edge it needs to stand out in the mix without overwhelming your band mates. This has been called the compression pedal for players who don't like compression. One other interesting option on this pedal is the XLR output. This allows players to use this pedal on vocals, or as a direct box. 

Superbolt

The superbolt is a more recent addition to the JHS family, but it has quickly become one of their staples. This overdrive pedal was inspired by the famous sound of the 60's era Supro amps. This pedal is straightforward with your typical gain controls, but that doesn't mean it is standard in its tones. With thick and harmonically rich overdrives, this pedal will really beef up your rhythm playing or create screaming leads. 

This guitar pedal will give players control over Volume, Tone, Drive, and a Gain Toggle. The gain control will function like the gain or volume on an amp, and the volume will act more as a master volume. This will allow you to get the drive tones that you need and then roll the volume back to the level you need. Then you will be able to adjust the tone control to remove any top end fizziness or booming lows. 

Color Box

This pedal is one of the more quirky guitar pedals JHS has created. The Color Box aims to recreate the tones created by the old Neve recording console. This console is has been used by huge artist like Steely Dan, Led Zepplin, and The Beatles. One of the most iconic sounds produced from the Neve is the guitar part on "Revolution" by The Beatles. The tone on the record was actually achieved by plugging the guitar straight into the console. Since this isn't very easy to do in a live setting, JHS developed this pedal to emulate that effect onstage. 

Kilt

This pedal was born through a collaboration between JHS and StuG of the band Delirious. As a recording artist StuG needed a versatile pedal that he could use for any song both in the studio and later on stage. What they ended up with was The Kilt. This pedal is capable of everything from a light transparent dive to a rich Fuzz. This dual drive has two independent channels. The left side is a recreation of the Expadora and the right is a JFET boost. Players can use either side separately or combine the two for a completely new tone. In the end, this incredibly flexible pedal can help you create any tone you need for almost any situation.
