Chase Bliss is about to release their first overdrive pedal any day now. The Brothers Analog Gainstage, designed in collaboration with Resonant Electronic, will cover a wide variety of tone options. The Brothers will have two independent channels featuring two different circuits. These channels will be able to run Independently, in series, or in a parallel configuration.
Brothers Features
The two separate channels will be labeled Channel A and Channel B. Both sides of this pedal will have a three-way toggle switch offering you the choice of Boost, Drive, or Fuzz. If you aren't sure which one is right for you, be sure to check out our post on overdrive. Channel a will use a JFET Circuit and Channel B will use an IC circuit instead. In total, this guitar pedal will offer up six unique drive options. The options really become limitless as you begin blending or stacking the two channels on top of each other.
If you are still looking for more variety don't worry the pedals creative power doesn;t stop here. The Brothers will have the signature Chase Bliss Audio dip switches. These can be used to reroute the pedal in 33 different configurations. You won't have to worry about losing one of your favorite sounds either. Once you find a tone you are really digging you can save it as a preset and recall it at any time. This pedal is completely analog but is controlled by a digital brain. This also allows the use of presets and it is MIDI capable. This will allow even more control over the pedal.
In Review
The Brothers Analog Gainstage has all of the indicators of a home run. It is one of our most anticipated pedals of 2017 and is sure to challenge other builders. Chase Bliss Audio is really pushing the limits of what we thought a pedal could do. Their brand of pedals are really only limited by our own creativity. Make sure the check out the Brothers Overdrive and unlock drive tones you've never sued before.
