This February Bondi Effects will be adding the 2026 Compressor into to the mix of compressor pedals. The 2026 Compressor is one of our most anticipated effects of 2017. This guitar pedal will have several features that set it apart from most of the other compressor pedals on the market. So far Bondi effects has had a proven track record of creating great product so we are pretty confident this pedal will be amazing.
2026 Compressor
The 2026 compressor will feature the following controls
Threshold
Level
Ratio
Attack
Release
Knee Toggle
Most of us have come to expect the threshold and level controls, but the added parameters give a fresh take on a compressor pedal. This pedal does not feature a blend knob, but its transparent tone and ratio control should allow for a similar effect as you can now choose just how much compression you would like. Leave the ration control turned down for a light and mental compression. All the way up and you'll essentially have turned the pedal into a limiter.
There are two different modes in the 2026. Dynamic mode will be indicated by a blue LED and will automatically match the attack and release to levels that will complement your playing dynamics. For compression aficionados there is also a Manual mode which will be indicated by a red LED. In manual mode you will set the attack and release yourself.
One other feature in this pedal is gain reduction monitoring. The pedals LED will turn white once you cross the threshold and compression kicks in. This will have aid you in setting exactly what level you want the pedal to start compressing your guitar. If you have more questions about what all of these settings mean be sure to check out our post on compression.
The Bondi Effects 2026 Compressor
We are really excited to get a hold of this pedal. Bondi Effects has always delivers a high quality great sounding product and we have high hopes for the 2026 compressor. The addition of the attack and release options as well as a ratio control mean that you can dial in precise compression settings to really enhance your playing. Jon over at Bondi Effects has also noted this is a completely transparent pedal that will function well on both guitar and bass. We will be sure to keep you updated on this pedal and when to expect it.
