After a long period of waiting the first batch of the new Bondi Effects 2026 Compressor has finally shipped. The bad news is that if one isn't currently en route to your door, then you may have to hang on until the next batch is finished. Head over to the Bondi Effects website and see if you can catch one before it is too late, or put put an alert on Reverb.
2026 Compressor Modes
This pedal has two different modes. The first, Dynamic Mode, is indicated by a blue LED. It is designed for someone who just wants an easy plug and play option. In Dynamic Mode the release and attack knobs are bypassed, and those parameters are automatically set in reaction to your playing. If you are excited by the idea of dialing in the perfect compression setting then you'll probably opt for Manual mode instead. Manual mode will be indicated by a red LED and will allow you to set the attack and release to your taste. Both modes will still the Threshold, Ratio, and Level parameters will still be active. The 2026 Compressor will also allow you to visually monitor gain reduction. Whenever you cross the threshold, the LED will turn white to indicate the compressor is active. This should help you better understand how this pedal is shaping your tone.

The 2026 compressor is unlike most compression pedals out there. Its extra features and transparent tone should change how you feel about compressor pedals. Since it has a flat EQ the Bondi Effects 2026 is well suited for Guitar, Bass, and anything else you could think of compressing. If you tried compression once and didn't love it, the is a good pedal to try again. If you love compression but wish you had a few more options, this pedal is for you as well.
