I remember when I listened to this tune the first time and I was completely blown away. It was back in 2012 and my parents suggested it to me. Marc Scibilia had done a video of an acoustic version of the song and I just fell in love. I have been trying to find a good time to cover it, and I thought this was that time. I tried to focus on the message and spirit of this song. And there is a real message here. We need each other. People need other people, badly. During these dark times, people try and figure out the two things they don’t understand: God and relationships. I did not want this to be a video where I tried forcing my beliefs on you, which I will never do, but I did want this video to be honest and my beliefs are the main part of my life. This video has all different people from all different beliefs and walks of life, and what is important is uniting together in times like these. These times remind us of how bad we need each other, and how divisions do nothing for us and uniting changes everything. By the way, have any of you guys seen Marc Scilibia live? I read somewhere about the Marc Scilibia Tour. I sure hope he will play a few gigs around here where I live. Even though, to be honest with you, I’d be willing to travel a little bit just to catch him live. Alright, I quickly wanted to share with you how I approached the little cover project.
